Masters Historic Festival
Brands Hatch (GP)
Saturday 27 - Sunday 28 May 2017
Recalling the halcyon days of Brands Hatch, the Masters Festival is headlined by the FIA Masters Historic Formula One Championship, featuring spectacular cars that competed during the Kent circuit's tenure as a Grand Prix venue, when heroes such as James Hunt, Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauda and Mario Andretti were in action.
The event includes FIA Masters Historic Sportscars, covering the early years of the famous Brands Hatch 500 and 1000km events. Plus there will be fondly-remembered GTs, saloons and single seaters from the past, all being driven as their creators intended.
One of the few racing venues to retain its character from this golden era, Brands Hatch is the perfect place to enjoy historic racing at its best.
This year's Masters will serve as a celebration of the Cosworth DFV engine - the most dominant power unit in the sport's history. This will manifest in demonstrations and displays from notable DFV-powered cars, including the Lotus 49 with which Jim Clark claimed the first DFV-powered victory in the 1967 Dutch Grand Prix.
