Tom Mills claimed his second win of the day at Donington Park, in a near repeat performance of the earlier encounter.

The KMR Sport driver again made a good start from pole, built and early lead, only to see that chipped away, this time by Cooper Webster, who finished second after passing front-row starter Colin Queen at the first corner.

The gap got down to four tenths mid-race, though Mills was able to stretch that to 1.5 seconds at the chequered flag, to take his fourth win of the season and extend his championship lead.

Webster therefore claimed his second runner-up spot of the day, and with Queen taking third, it was a carbon copy of the podium from the rescheduled Silverstone contest earlier today.

Outside of the top-three, who at one point were covered by one second mid race, Liam McNeilly finished fourth after an excellent move on Harri Reynolds around the outside of Redgate earlier in the race.

KMR Sport’s Jeremy Fairbairn was fifth, a second clear of Elite’s Josh Irfan after a late battle, with Jack Clifford six tenths of a second further back in seventh.

Fortec’s Ruhaan Alva took eighth, less than a second clear of teammate Aditya Kulkarni, with Harry Burgoyne completing the top-10 for Graham Brunton Racing, just pipping debutant Kai Daryanani to the position in his first GB4 contest.

Sid Smith (Fox) finished 12th ahead of Reynolds, who spun from fifth moments after being passed by McNeilly, with Thomas Lee completing the runners in 14th for Evans GP. Dylan Hotchin was unable to race due to chassis damage, but will return to action tomorrow.

Donington Park race two is due to commence at 10.35 tomorrow.
