Theo Micouris will make his single-seater race debut at Donington Park this weekend (21-22 Oct).

The double Radical champion will contest the final three GB4 Championship races of the season with Elite Motorsport, joining fellow category debutant Finn Harrison in the Norfolk squad.

The current season has marked Theo's first campaign of car racing following a decorated karting career that saw him claim multiple British titles.

The Motorsport UK Academy member won his first ever car race in the Radical SR1 Cup at Donington in April and went on to claim nine victories and eight further podiums. Micouris also took 15 fastest laps, 14 pole positions, broke three SR1 lap records and was not only crowned champion of the SR1 category - he claimed the overall Radical Cup UK title too.

Those accolades add to his impressive karting CV, which includes eight titles and multiple lap records, and a strong esports career that has also earned titles and world record lap times.

Theo Micouris said: “As it’s my first race in single-seaters, I am just going to make the most of the experience and enjoy every moment.

“I have done one test day in a GB4 car, which was also with Elite, and my first day in a single-seater.

“It was at Donington Park GP where I managed to learn a huge amount for this weekend.

“After a dream first season in cars, I’m just trying to get my breath back and enjoy the moment. I’ve raced at Donington twice in a Radical this year, and in those six races, had four wins and two seconds.”

Team Owner Eddie Ives said: “I’m really excited to have finalised a last-minute deal to run Theo at Donington marking his single-seater debut in GB4.

“I’ve known Theo and his family for a few years which makes it especially pleasing to see him progress up the motor racing ladder with us.

“He has minimal GB4 experience so we go to Donington with no expectations in terms of results.

"Like Finn, who is also stepping up to GB4 this weekend, we’ll offer our advice and experience and see what happens.”
