American SpeedFest 11 powered by Lucas Oil thunders to Brands Hatch for two days of themed family fun featuring NASCAR, live music, stunt shows, car displays and more on 8/9 June. This annual extravaganza is much more than simply a race meeting, with loads to do across two action packed days.
The on-circuit show will be headlined by the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, which rockets back to the Kent circuit for the only officially sanctioned stock car racing of this kind you’ll see in the UK this year. Colourful V8 race cars from Ford, Chevrolet and Toyota will feature in four races across the weekend, with pre-race ceremonies and grid walks adding to the all-American atmosphere.
Additional circuit action will be themed too, with highlights including dedicated Ford vs Chevrolet team races, Bernie’s V8s and Historic Outlaws (retro muscle cars), the Pickup Truck Racing Championship, Legends (historic NASCAR inspired stock cars), and the SpeedFest Silhouettes (UK based stock cars). There will be demonstrations from authentic NASCAR machinery built and raced in the USA too, plus a special parade for many of the American cars on-site.
The event will feature a dedicated music festival for a second year in succession too, with SpeedFest Country presented by CountryLine Radio bringing two days of top class on-stage entertainment to the programme. This year’s festival is headlined by leading country duo Ward Thomas (Saturday) with American singer-songwriter Alyssa Bonagura topping the bill on Sunday.
Other acts playing across the two days include Jade Helliwell, Gasoline & Matches, Emilia Quinn, Eddy Smith and the 507 and The Jackson Line, who will all precede Ward Thomas. The Sunday line-up includes Eric and Jensen, Foreign Affairs, Alan Finlan and Emily Faye. Access to the music festival is available to all ticket holders, alongside the motorsport elements.
The supercharged show also includes the Live Action Arena with monster trucks, drifting, and stunt bike riding. Further highlights will include American car displays, themed food and drink, Victory Lane podium presentations, a BBQ competition, funfair rides and much more.
