Motorsport News, the weekly publication for the UK motorsport scene, has been acquired by MotorSport Vision (MSV) from Kelsey Media. Kelsey’s final edition will be the Thursday 25 September issue. MSV’s first edition will be on sale from Thursday 2 October.
Editor Matt James and Deputy Editor Graham Keilloh will continue in their roles with the iconic newspaper, which has been reporting on the UK motorsport scene for more than 70 years. Motorsport News will remain committed to delivering in-depth coverage across a wide spectrum of events.
Phil Weeden, Managing Director of Kelsey Media’s Automotive Division commented: “Motorsport News is such a well-respected publication, that is why it has endured for over seven decades. With MSV’s fresh investment, we’re confident this iconic brand can live on for many more years to come.”
Jonathan Palmer, Chief Executive of MSV commented: “I am delighted that MSV is acquiring Motorsport News, a publication which has played a really important part in mine and many other drivers’ careers. Over recent years I have been concerned with the reduction in coverage of UK motorsport in printed media, and I am determined to reverse that trend to reflect the incredible amount of national motorsport we have in this country. We will work carefully and quickly to progressively evolve a publication with a great heritage, ensuring Motorsport News is compelling reading for everyone involved in particularly UK motorsport.”
