Ginetta Junior front-runner Torrin Byrne will stay with his family’s Pace Performance team as he gears up for his single-seater debut in GB4 this year.

In his second Ginetta Junior campaign, Byrne, son of team-owner Sean, demonstrated a significant improvement, finishing ninth overall with two podiums and starting from pole position on three occasions.

The podium breakthrough came immediately with third place in the second race of the year at Donington Park, before adding another third at Snetterton in the summer.

The British driver then kicked on further in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series at Silverstone in November, scoring a podium with second place in the event opener, and narrowly missed out on the title by just one point, finishing second overall.

Byrne had made his car racing debut in the 2024 Ginetta Junior season, having also contested the 2023 Ginetta Junior Scholarship.

Now the 17-year-old will make the step up to single-seaters for the first time. He has already accrued decent mileage in Tatuus MSV GB4-025 machinery.

Torrin Byrne: “I am really looking forward to the GB4 season ahead. We have already done a good number of days in the car. I look forward to building on what I have learnt in Ginetta Juniors and look forward to the season ahead.”

Team Principal Sean Byrne: “After two years in Ginetta Juniors, it was a natural move for Torrin to move up to single-seaters in GB4 next year. He has developed strongly across those two seasons, and that development will continue with us in 2026. It’s going to be an extremely competitive season next year with a big grid, but we have confidence that Torrin can be a match for his rivals as the year goes on.”
