Hitech's Deagen Fairclough wrapped up preparations ahead of this weekend's Hungaroring races with yet another GB3 record-breaking lap time in final practice.

Having trimmed a couple of tenths off the new benchmark in session two, the British driver did it again in FP3 on Friday evening, posting a 1m35.668s in the final five minutes of the 30-minute session.

This time around, two other drivers joined him in the 1m35s club, with VRD Racing's championship leader Nikita Bedrin only just over a tenth of a second behind in second place, while Rodin's home hero Martin Molnar was 0.128s behind in third.

Fairclough's new teammate Jacob Micaleff held top spot late on and ended preparations for his first GB3 event in a very encouraging fourth place, 0.044s clear of the lead Xcel Motorsport car of Rowan Campbell-Pilling, who also led the session heading into the final 10 minutes.

Elite's Kyuho Lee was sixth quickest, 0.079s in arrears to Campbell-Pilling and a tiny 0.013s ahead of Rodin's Maxim Rehm.

Dante Vinci figured inside the top-10 once more, 0.029s behind Rehm and 0.011s clear of the second Xcel car of Lucas Fluxa in ninth.

VRD's Rodrigo Gonzalez completed the top-10, which was covered by just over a second.

Fairclough's session three lap ensured he topped the day overall ahead of Bedrin and Molnar, who also saved their best for last.

Vinci, teammate Peter Bouzinelos and debutant Micallef completed the combined top-six thanks to their session one laps.

Session three efforts from Campbell-Pilling, Lee and Rehm were enough to place the trio seventh, eighth and ninth overall.

VRD's Patricio Gonzalez completed the day's combined top-10 courtesy of his session one lap, with Friday's top-10 covered by 0.899s. As the field closed up, just 1.3 seconds covered the lead 17 runners through the day.

The GB3 field returns to action tomorrow morning for the two part qualifying session, which is due to commence at 09.00. Fairclough enters the session as a likely favourite for pole, having topped four of this week's six on track sessions.
