Kyle Ryde set a blistering pace in the second ZYN British Superbike Championship Free Practice session to set the fastest ever BSB lap of Oulton Park with a time of 1m:32.732s, to return to the top of the times ahead of Storm Stacey on the Bathams AJN Racing Ducati.
Ryde delivered an incredible lap to put him back ahead of his rivals, with Stacey holding off Bradley Ray for second place in the closing stages of the session ahead of Pre-Qualifying this afternoon.
Leon Haslam had a strong final run in the session to put him fourth on the times for Moto Rapido Racing, narrowly ahead of Ryan Vickers with Ilya Mikhalchik completing the top six for ROKiT BMW Motorrad British Superbike Race team.
Josh Brookes was seventh for DAO Racing Honda ahead of Rory Skinner and Max Cook in ninth place despite a crash at Lodge in the closing stages of the session. Lee Jackson completed the top ten.
Glenn Irwin meanwhile missed the session as the Nitrous Coin Nitrous Competitions Racing team changed an engine after Free Practice 1, and will be looking to make amends in Pre Qualifying.
