Ary Bansal will make his GB3 Championship debut at this weekend’s (7/8 November) season finale at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with TJ Speed Motorsports.
The Indian driver secured the 2025 GB4 title at the Donington Park season finale after a superb campaign which netted four wins and a total of 11 podiums.
Bansal started his year with a win at the Donington Park season opener, but a double victory at the mid-season Snetterton round kick started his campaign, and a remarkable run of five podiums and a win from the final seven races landed him the title on the final day.
Since then, the 16-year-old from Bangalore has recently finished sixth in the highly competitive Italian F4 Championship, with wins at Mugello and Misano added to four further podium finishes.
A busy campaign started with third place in the pre-season Formula Winter Series with wins at Portimão and MotorLand Aragón, while he also took a victory at Monza in the mid-season E4 Championship.
In addition, Bansal has made one off appearances in the Formula Regional European Championship season finale at Hockenheim, and the Euroformula Open end of year event at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where he claimed a second place in the final race.
He now turns his attentions to racing in GB3 for the first time. He joins Tim Neff’s TJ Speed Motorsports outfit, which also makes its series debut this weekend, and partners with fellow Italian F4 contender Arjen Kräling in the team's two-car line-up.
Ary Bansal: “I’m pleased to be joining TJ Speed for the GB3 season finale in Barcelona. I have some great memories from GB4 last year, and stepping into a new car will be an exciting experience. The priority will be to make progress with each session and get the car into a good window to maximise performance. I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel and putting ourselves in contention for strong results.”
TJ Speed Motorsports Team Principal Tim Neff: “Having a driver like Ary on board with us for our first round in GB3 is a real coup for us, and we’re very confident he will be able to show his outstanding abilities this weekend in Barcelona. While he’s still so young, Ary has built up some great experience across a range of machinery already and that should be a valuable foundation for him. We couldn’t wish for a better line-up for our first GB3 event, and we’re excited to get going ahead of the weekend.”
