Two-time British Touring Car Champion Tom Ingram has confirmed a three-year deal to remain on the grid with Team VERTU.
The 33-year-old, who claimed the BTCC title in 2022 and 2025, took five wins on the way to second in the standings in 2026. He first joined the Droitwich-based team in 2021 and has helped develop the squad’s Hyundai i30 N.
Ingram, who has taken 29 wins and 84 podiums during his time with the team, said: “When I first signed with Excelr8, this was a team that was still the new kid on the block with lofty ambitions of making it to the top, but I knew there was the chance to do something special.
“Over the last six seasons, we have shared so many highlights — from the first win at Snetterton through to twice lifting the title at Brands Hatch — and I'm hugely excited to see what we can achieve together over the next three seasons.
“Reclaiming the title next season is the obvious target, and everyone involved in the team is fully focused on making sure we are in the best possible position to do that.”
Next year’s BTCC campaign kicks off at Donington Park on 10/11 April and also includes stops at Brands Hatch, Snetterton and Oulton Park. Return visits to Donington Park and Brands Hatch, for the season finale, will come in the second half of the campaign.
