Motorsport News has today (Thursday 8 October) entered the first phase of its digital future, with the launch of the all-new motorsportnews.co.uk website.

Initially, the website will operate as a comprehensive live results database, spanning the national motorsport scene, with an attractive design and a user-friendly portal. This service will cover everything from top-tier national circuit racing, such as British Touring Cars, leading single seater championships and British GT, to club racing, historic competition and domestic rallying.

The results will be complemented by news coverage and reports, initially for the major national championships. But this will evolve and expand to ultimately cover national motorsport in a far broader, in-depth manner. Motorsport News will continue to underline its place as the voice of British motorsport by actively engaging with clubs, promoters, and organisers throughout this process.

MSV’s Chief Executive, Jonathan Palmer, commented:  “In the UK we have a wonderfully extensive and diverse national motorsport scene, probably the biggest in the world, with a fantastic community of championships, series, competitors, teams, clubs, venues, supporting businesses and organisations, including Motorsport UK.  And of course we have our amazing marshals, officials, motorsport fans and spectators.  Whilst there is digital media covering many areas, there has not been until now an easily accessible motorsport media website providing a one stop shop to find the results of all the motorsport competitions we have in the UK.  Our competitors do not just love our sport, but continually strive for success, and it is so important that the results of their endeavours can be readily found, whether by family, friends, supporters and fans.  And this is just the beginning for our exciting Motorsport News website.”

This landmark development comes one year on from the historic title’s acquisition by MotorSport Vision (MSV), and represents the latest in a long list of improvements made to the title during that time. Prior enhancements include higher quality print, a return to full weekly publication, extensive coverage of grassroots, club-level motorsport and investment in the outlet’s editorial and management teams.

The Motorsport News website will complement the existing print publication, which will continue to offer full in-depth reporting and exclusive news every Thursday. The website will also serve as a customer interface for managing subscriptions and digital editions of the paper, as well as ordering back issues and locating newspaper stockists.
