The AJN Steelstock bimota team have announced they will maintain their line-up of Max Cook and Joe Talbot into the 2027 season following a fantastic debut season aboard the bimota KB998 Rimini Superbike.
The 2026 season marked the bimota KB998 Rimini’s debut in the Championship, blending the proven Kawasaki ZX10-RR power plant with the bimota chassis, with Cook claiming a number of podiums throughout the season. Meanwhile his teammate Joe Talbot has been impressive in his rookie campaign on the new bike, exceeding all expectations for his debut season.
FS-3 Racing has also announced that AJN Steelstock will remain as the team’s title sponsor for 2027 and with a season of data under their belts, and a winter of development to further refine the bimota package, both riders will be looking to take another step forward next year.
Cook said: “I’m really excited to continue with AJN Steelstock bimota for another season. The team is like a family to me, and I didn’t want to go anywhere else. We have made a big step forward this year, and the KB998 Rimini is only going to get better, so I think we can progress further in 2027 and become genuine title contenders!”
Talbot said: “It’s brilliant news that I’m continuing with the team for 2027. The team and bike have been fantastic, so I’m looking forward to building on the experience with the same bike and team. I think starting next year with a solid base and all the learning I have done from this year puts me in a really strong spot to start next season.”
