Bradley Ray topped the times in the opening Bennetts British Superbike Championship SUPERPICKS Free Practice session at Brands Hatch this afternoon, heading the pack as he targets his first title crown at his home circuit this weekend.
Ray moved to the top of the times in the closing stages of the session, holding off Jason O'Halloran on the McAMS Yamaha by 0.413s with Danny Buchan on the SYNETIQ BMW completing the top three.
Peter Hickman fired the FHO Racing BMW into fourth place, pushing Tommy Bridewell back into fifth place as the Oxford Products Racing Ducati rider held off his closest rival Glenn Irwin in the closing stages.
Danny Kent was seventh fastest on the Buildbase Suzuki with Josh Brookes leading the MCE Ducati pairing in eighth place.
Andrew Irwin was ninth on the second of the SYNETIQ BMWs with Ryan Vickers completed the top ten.
