Donington Park's first major retro motorsport event of the year takes place this weekend (7-8 April) courtesy of Masters Historic Racing.
Majestic racing cars from the 1960s and beyond will be in action, with numerous rare and priceless machines expected to travel to the circuit.
One of the major highlights will come from the Masters Endurance Legends series, packed with Le Mans prototypes from the 1990s and 2000s. Two 40-minute races on Sunday will provide a real flavour of the French endurance classic, with cars also on track for practice and qualifying on Saturday.
Equivalent cars from the 1960s and 70s will also be represented in the Masters Sports Car Legends, with a 60-minute race on Sunday afternoon, and there's more endurance racing for pre-1966 GT cars courtesy of the Masters Gentleman Drivers.
Classic F1-style cars will battle in the Historic Grand Prix Cars Association contests, with races split for front and rear-engined cars, showcasing the differing mechanical approaches to racing in the post-war era.
The action is completed by the Masters GT Trophy, featuring GT4 cars that raced between 2007 and 2018, with spectacular machinery expected.
